We look forward to seeing all of the scouts and parents at this week's Troop and Parents meeting at St. Paul's Church. We will be reviewing upcoming events, camping trips, and summer camp details. We will also be addressing any questions you have around requirements, merit badges, and service hours.We want to make sure you have all of the information you need to help your scout advance through the program and we need your participation to ensure our events are successful. We look forward to see one parent from every family at the Monday meeting.

This will be the first traditional, patrol-based campout of the year. All scouts in all patrols are invited. What will we be doing at Boulder Creek Scout Reservation? Lots of things! We'll have to prioritize based on interest and build an agenda, but these are all possiblities:
Camping by patrol (kinda a given) [Yes, we'll have a gear checkout the Wednesday prior]
Cooking by patrol (ditto) [Yes, we'll have a meal planning session the Wednesday prior]
Hiking the Nature and/or History trails (great for 2nd Class if map and compass are used - be sure to bring them!)
Service projects (needed for all ranks, with conservation projects as needed for Star)
Flag Ceremony practice by patrol (yes, we need this)
Evening Campfires (fellowship, flag retirement ceremony?, skits/songs/stories)
Discussion of Patrol Method (a more detailed motivation for working in patrols)
Discussion of adult involvement in Scouts BSA vs. Cub Scouts (by adults, for adults)
