Welcome to Scout Troop 28

Proudly Scouting Since 1950

For over sixty years, Troop 28 has been building young men of excellent character through Scouting. We stress leadership, personal responsibility, fun, friendship and outdoor adventures.

Youth who have earned the Arrow of Light rank and are at least 10 years old, or have completed the fifth grade and are at least 10, or who are 11, but not yet 18 years old are welcome to join Troop 28.

For boys and girls grades K - 5, contact Burlingame CUB SCOUT PACKS

https://www.facebook.com/Pack28Burlingame OR https://www.facebook.com/burlingamepack128

We are grateful to be sponsored by Saint Paul’s Episcopal Church, 415 El Camino Real, Burlingame. Our troop meetings are generally held the first and third Monday of each month, from 7 - 8:15 pm.  Click on Contact Us if you're interested in learning more about Troop 28 or would like to attend one of our meetings.

Our troop is Scout-led, and our adult staff is highly trained. Our emphasis is on quality, not quantity, and we achieve good results by having the parents of our Scouts reinforce the values of the Scout Oath and Scout Law at home.  Our parent group has high participation in providing the scaffolding for the scouts to build the program on.

Our troop is engaged in camping, hiking, backpacking, river rafting, skiing and service projects. We practice the patrol method, and emphasize creating experiences that are both meaningful and memorable.  Our troop culture practices what we call the straight A’s: attendance, appearance, activity, advancement, accountability, and awards.

Back to Scouting Family BBQ - Aug 21st 4:30-7pm

Posted on May 26 2022 - 8:22am

The whole family is invited to this fun event! We have reserved the bocce courts and BBQ grills in Washington Park.

The troop will provide BBQs, charcoal, paper goods and bocce balls. Bring your favorite lawn game!

Each family should bring their own entree for grilling, and a potluck side dish, salad or dessert to share.

Please register your attendance on the website so we know how many are coming.  It's also helpful if you note what potluck dish you'll bring.

The scouts will be asked to help set up and clean up before and after the event.

Memorial Day Grave Decoration 5/28

Posted on May 23 2022 - 4:37pm

Come place flags at Golden Gate National Cemetery to pay tribute to the men and women who have made the ultimate sacrifice in defense of our country.

For over 70 years, Scouts around the country have been helping to honor our country's fallen. It all began in 1949 when Scouts in the Greater St. Louis Council decorated the 190,000 graves at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery with miniature US flags. Since then, it has become one of the largest service projects in the country.
