Our annual back to scouting event at Washington Park was a huge success. We loved seeing old friends and playing games with our new scouts and their families. With over 50 in attendance, scouting is back!! We are looking forward to a fun filled, active year!! 

Highlights from Scoutmaster Thomas' email dated August 5th

Advancement status - At the end of August we’ll be publishing a list of all ranks, merit badges, and other awards that have been earned but not yet awarded in preparation for the Court of Honor in October. Please review it so that we don’t overlook any of your accomplishments! If you’re nearly complete with your next rank, this is a good time to request a Scoutmaster Conference and Board of Review. 

OA Eligibility - Elections will be held on September 9 and the next Ordeal weekend is September 20-22. All Scouts who are not yet Arrowmen, have earned First Class, and have 15 camping nights by September 9 will be on the election ballot that evening. Please confirm your camping nights with Mr. Thomas before Labor Day.

Scoutbook - We are exploring the features in Scoutbook and may migrate to that platform for better communication and tracking of events and advancements. Many parents have already been invited to create an account; Scouts must be invited by one of their parents. Please contact Mr. Thomas if you need an account or assistance.

Trail to First Class - We’re building a stronger program to help the new Scouts (and families) get started in Scouting. This also provides leadership opportunities for the older Scouts. The majority of the program should take place outdoors — particularly on the campouts this Fall.
